Our Story
As elite Australian Track and Field athletes, we founded Glósóli Sport with big dreams of solving the post-workout hair conundrum. Sweat is part of our job and we know first hand what it’s like to finish a workout with sweaty hair, and not have enough time (or energy) to wash and blow dry afterwards. Frustrated by our constant sweaty and oily locks we thoroughly tested every dry shampoo on the market, but they either made our hair too dry and brittle or were not oil absorbing enough, and none worked effectively on damp, sweaty hair...So we decided to make one; Ready Sweat Glo Dry Shampoo Mist.
Meet Annie
Co-founder Annie is a dual Olympian and one of Australia’s best 400m runners whose day job is to run laps, hit the gym and build up a sweat. As she spends most of her day with her hair tied in a ponytail, Annie needed a dry shampoo that could match her speed and strength, without causing damage to her hair. Whether she was sweating it out on the track, recovering at the beach, or travelling the world to competitions, no dry shampoo on the market met the sweat test.
Meet Ash
Balance is no hurdle for our co-founder Ash who spends her 9-5 working in Marketing with her afternoons dedicated to sweating it out as a national 400m hurdler. Ash’s need for a post workout dry shampoo was made clear when trying to squeeze in demanding training sessions at lunch with the 1pm meeting looming, a head full of sweaty hair and no product to fix it. She lives a busy lifestyle running from one thing to the next so is really aware of how Glósóli Sports Post Workout Dry Shampoo Mist will help ease the lives of today’s professional women.
Meet Kelly
Co-founder Kelly is a first time mum, Australian 800m world championship representative, a qualified Sport and Exercise Scientist and coach. Kel thought she was busy before juggling training and work, however being a new mum has redefined the term “busy” and made her realise she needed that freshly washed hair feel (minus the wash) more than ever. Developing this dry shampoo through pregnancy Kel is incredibly conscious of what goes onto her body and skin so has been the eyes and ears when it comes to ensuring we focus on natural ingredients and no nasties.
